There were three of us, innocent and youthful, playing in the company of our grandmother.
When my sisters were not looking, he came up to me and persuaded me to follow him. His was also the face of youth, but blanketed with thick beard and long wavy hair. He tricked me to his inverted guard tower, a sunken granite dome where he and another fellow were put on watch, to watch what, I didn't know. Separated from my sisters, I felt fear and wished desperately to return, but I alone must climb to the top. This was his intention all along. Left without a choice, I began climbing...rope ladders appeared upwards as I carefully took my steps. It was a difficult climb, each step lasted a life time and the probability of me falling to my death seemed greater than my logic mind.
When I finally reached the top, it was not the top at all but a narrow pole positioned in the middle of nothingness. The bottom, now seemed too deep of an abyss to go back down, and the space above deemed too great to contain any escape. On the opposite far side, I saw another figure, which resembled myself but the face was too far to tell. She too was alone on a narrow pole. As I tried harder to make sense of her face, I saw a thin thread coming towards me, and I knew then that was my cue to leap. The figure on the opposite side appeared to have done the same. In mid air, we didn't fall but were coming towards one another from opposite ends, both aiming for the thin thread, I assumed. When close enough, I noticed the thread had a scroll attached, I reached out and grabbed it while the figure missed it and fell.
Strangely, I then found myself standing safely on a higher platform, there were many people there and they seemed relieved that I had the scroll. But before I could open it, the ground began to shake, and everyone started fleeing from the scene. I looked down and saw the ground broke open in circles and water started gushing in. I ran with the people and all of a sudden, a tall man tried to seize the scroll from me, and in our struggle, the scroll fell into the waters. Too late for that, I ran forward. Amidst the chaos, I sensed someone behind me, he was shooting people with a weapon, not so much a gun with bullets but with rays. There were mothers and young children, and their blood erupted into infinite molecules outside of their bodies upon contact with it.
I couldn't remember what happened to me, I doubt it mattered.
